Job Description:
Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance. Create understanding of the ‘real’ versus ‘perceived’ need through experience and expertise while complying with company policies, legislation and regulations
Job Responsibilities:
- Detailed understanding of the business operations impacting the assigned reconciliations and accounting processes
- Assistance in meeting all targets and timelines as per project plans
- Assistance and valid input into monthly generation of reporting packs
- Assistance in ensuring that projects are implemented meeting compliance requirements
- Ensuring that all processes and procedures as per responsibilities assigned are performed timeously and accurately
- Analytical evaluation of GL accounts
- Providing timeous input into the monthly Operations Finance reporting packs
- Assistance in successful implementation of projects
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all the bank’s policies and procedures Ensuring that financial discipline is adhered to
- Investigation of variances and timeous feedback Responsible for timeous resolution of queries and liaising with the relevant stakeholders
- Validate data provided for accuracy and completeness
- Valid, accurate, complete and timeous completion of reconciliations and reporting
Job Requirements:
- Bcom Finance/Audit
- Business Thinking Skills
- 3 – 5 years experience within Financial Services industry
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Credit Act
- Deadline driven
- Knowledge of African Bank strategies and policies
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Able to analyse/process vast amounts of data and information and gain insights to enable business acceleration
- Exactus
- Exposure to PASA, Bankserv, and reconciliation processes.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office
- Accounting experience and knowledge of the accounting framework (Financial Literacy skills)
