Job Description:

A successful candidate will need a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include project and software development work. Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing dynamic testing infrastructure to scale out impact
• Contributing to innovation in the security products we build by devising new features, new controls to raise the security and privacy bar for Alexa’s customer data
• Conduct research on innovative ways of defeating our existing security controls and devise ways to block the attacks discovered
• Source code auditing and static analysis of selected projects

Job Requirements:

• Experience developing software solutions
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Security Engineering or Vulnerability Research capabilities, supporting projects from concept to delivery, and 2 years in two or more of the following technical categories:
• Static analysis and source auditing
• Fuzzing and dynamic security testing
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
• Ability to model threats and risks for a large, complex system
• Track record of success with communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience performing security testing of C/C++/Java projects
• Ideal candidates must be innovative, creative, flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to design and write high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code
• Experience working directly with machine learning technologies
• Virtualization/OS security : Windows required, MacOS preferable
• Scaling security assessments (e.g. automating workflows relating to vulnerability research)
