Job Description:
The Advertiser Recommendations org develops insight-backed recommendations for our advertising customers and communicates these to advertisers via APIs. These recommendations encourage advertisers to adopt Amazon Advertising products and features when and in a way that helps advertisers achieve their objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on product direction, building and maintaining strong relationships between your team and all other teams that create or consume insights.
- Lead beyond your team as a visible leader within Amazon’s Advertising organization. You will contribute to the overall growth of our product development organization, sharing best practices and technical acumen in order to drive technology decisions across our organization.
- Own scientific, technical and business vision and build programs to execute against this vision.
- Maintain high standards and operational excellence to ensure our products reach hundreds of millions of customers around the world, 24x7x365.
- Hire, develop and manage a world class team of scientists, software engineers, and product visionaries.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate degree in computer science, Math, Physics or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 10+ years of senior-level management in technical environment
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Familiarity with advertising and e-commerce businesses
- Demonstrated experience using advanced modeling and optimization techniques in software shipped at scale
- Experience managing teams of 50+ engineers and scientist
- A track record of hiring and developing scientific, product and engineering talent
- 15+ years of industrial/academic experience in deep learning, machine learning or a related field
- Experience building scaled recommendations APIs
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Perl, Python or Matlab
