Job Description:

A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization and adept at understanding how businesses work in Europe and how to create innovative, cutting edge solutions for European customers. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially in consumer related products. An ability to help with strategy and planning for the Middle East and Africa is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders
• Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to engage in local and regional regulatory efforts
• Develop GTM and operational plans and for Europe in alignment with Amazon’s strategy for the region
• Once operational, meet business goals, performance objectives and deliver a fantastic customer experience
• Prepare a detailed business case for justification of new opportunities
• Lead business development efforts for European partnerships and operations
• Analyze and recommend approaches for service

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or related working experience
• Experience building and managing successful teams, especially geographically diverse teams
• Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast paced culture
• Fluency in Spanish, German, French and/or European languages
• Understanding of telecommunications, internet and/or satellite technology
• 5+ years responsibility in managing business metrics or a strategic function, such as managing a P&L, revenue targets and/or customer satisfaction/loyalty
• Knowledge and familiarity with satellite or telecommunications regulatory process in Europe
• 7+ years of experience in consumer telecommunications (pay TV, phone or internet) or satellite services in Europe
• Ability to travel internationally
• 5+ years of leadership experience as a general manager, or head of business development or strategy
