Job Description:

Responsible for pursuing activities to ensure compliance with the NERC Reliability Standards, and applicable FERC Market rules such as Market Anti-Manipulation, Standards of Conduct and Order 860. Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of processes, procedures and evidence for compliance, Other assignments that are of interest to Ameren and require a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discussions with internal stakeholders to assess, analyze and establish positions on issues related to changes in existing or development of new federal regulatory requirements and reliability standards.
  • Review and understand rules generated from regulatory entities such as Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and North American
  • Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
  • Study and analyze data, prepare reports and presentation materials on compliance activities for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate investigation and self-report processes for reliability standards, including documentation of root cause analysis, lessons learned, tracking mitigation actions and evidence for potential non-compliance matters.
  • Support the administration of compliance activities and training for NERC CIP programs and FERC Market Rules.
  • Support activities associated with compliance audits conducted by internal resources, consultants, or regulatory organizations.
  • Participate in Regional Reliability and industry organizations to represent Ameren’s interests on committees and working groups.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Business Degree from an accredited University required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Three or more years of relevant professional experience in compliance or auditing required.
  • Two or more years of professional working experience with NERC Reliability Standards preferred.
  • Experience with NERC, FERC, and Regional Compliance processes and Regional Compliance audits preferred.
