Job Description:
The Transmission Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, completion and operational integration of transmission line and substation projects into Ameren’s Transmission system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate and Transmission function procedures during all project phases.
- Direct project team and lead the project management process.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot project issues, and remove obstacles for project team members.
- Ensure the overall successful delivery of project scope, cost and schedule.
- Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget and the project resources including external vendors and contractors.
- Lead or assist the development and implementation of, or revision to, function-specific project management policies and procedures.
- Lead the project lifecycle process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close out.
- Provides oversight to others working on the project.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, engineering management or construction management discipline preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred or must actively pursue PMP certification upon hire.
- Five years relevant project management experience required.
- Relevant experience includes managing projects and/or project lead engineering, construction management, or project controls experience on large and medium complex utility or construction projects.
- Experience or understanding in project management controls are required.
- Project coordination or team leadership experience required.
