AmPath Vacancy In Centurion – Facilities Manager

Job Description:

To liaise with the various role players on new construction and renovation projects, and manage the continued renovation and improvement of existing facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compile and manage the annual operational and capital expenditure budget for the Facilities Department,
• Develop and maintain a list of approved contractors and suppliers nationally,
• Ensure compliance with the applicable BCEA, LRA, OHS, and Acts,
• Liaise and collaborate with all role players internally and externally on maintenance, renovation and construction projects,
• Liaise with and manage contractors and various consultants on daily maintenance tasks and construction and renovation projects,
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Manage the existing daily preventative and routine maintenance of Ampath buildings and facilities,
• Responsible for management of all construction and continued renovation of Ampath facilities according to strategic plans,
• Responsible for project management, planning, coordinating, executing and reporting on facilities projects (renovations, repairs and new construction),
• Responsible for the development and implementation of a national Ampath Facilities and maintenance Strategic Plan.,
• Review and manage all contracts and SLA’s in relation to facilities management and maintenance

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 5-10 years in maintenance of large facilities (e.g. Hospitals), A minimum of 5-10 years of project management or similar related experience
• BSc Degree in Engineering (Ideally Electrical but other engineering specialities will be considered) (Required),
• Grade 12 (Required),
• Qualified and evidenced experience in construction, facilities management and maintenance (Required),
• Valid South African drivers licence (Code EB) (Required)
