Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with other customer insight functions in the team (Marketing, Customer Research, Market Intelligence) to enhance our knowledge of the customer and combine insight into one aligned story for the business.
  • Work with data teams to ensure we are using the most accurate and relevant data for our insight.
  • Developing an expertise of testing/optimisation best practices and using this knowledge to advocate testing across the business
  • Understand different types of customer behaviour through building statistical models for segmentation and propensity analysis.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests as required whilst ensuring we are enabling the business to self-serve where possible.
  • Profiling customer behaviour and demographics by market, to help stakeholders under-stand their audience and plan activity accordingly.
  • Championing a test and learn approach with stakeholders, helping to define testing roadmaps, structuring A/B and multivariate tests, then drawing insight and recommendations from results.
  • Proactively bringing new ideas to the table relating to business questions, analytics approaches, datasets and ways of working.
  • Developing and training the Operational Excellence team to work with Insight team and effectively embed within that business area.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience supporting change and transformation programmes/teams
  • A passion for data analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to work under own initiative, effectively prioritise workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and flexible approach
  • Interest in programming languages (Python, R)
  • Use of data visualisation tools is desirable (Power BI, Tableau), but not essential
  • A strong analytical approach with excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills, and a good team player
  • Quality, accuracy and attention to detail are critical
  • Knowledge and day to day use of SQL essential
  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or Economics)
