Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Buyer at I&J, Cape Town Fishing, Waterfront, Cape Town. The purpose of this role is to purchase goods and materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. The successful incumbent will take responsibility for specific projects or hold a larger remit in terms of purchasing responsibility, will have more technical knowledge, expertise, understanding and will be seen as a specialist in their function.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Technical or Engineering Buyer
- National Diploma or equivalent Supply Chain/Procurement qualification
- Technical Knowledge within an engineering environment
- Experience Negotiating Terms of Business and Contracts
- MS Office
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) would be advantageous
- SAP in general procurement as well as SAP services Knowledge
- Grade 12
