BlackRock Internship – Associate Fixed Income

Job Description:

Global Trading is seeking an Associate level Fixed Income Trader for electronic investment activities spearheaded from its Princeton office. The candidate will trade bonds across rates and credit products with an emphasis on growing the electronic trading infrastructure to maximize scale and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pro-actively support the investment process to reduce transaction costs.
• Embrace and be a carrier of BlackRock Principles
• Actively coordinate and develop platform infrastructure and analytics to improve trading efficiency and reduce operational risk
• Manage orders and trade flow in a logical risk controlled manner with a high sensitivity to fiduciary responsibilities.
• Support Global Trading and partners in terms of information flow and data requests.
• Provide ‘best execution’ across multiple Fixed Income instruments for North American and International PM teams.
• Work with internal IT and analytics groups to enhance systems and trading workflow.

Job Requirements:

• Experience with Aladdin, Bloomberg, MKTX, TWEB, and other trading platforms a plus
• Ideally, working knowledge in SQL, Python, Bloomberg API, and Excel a plus
• Team oriented, self-starter, problem-solver, good communicator, multi-tasker
• Degree(s) in relevant subjects such as economics, mathematics, finance or data science
