Job Description:
The Director will play a pivotal role on BlackRock’s IR team, reporting directly into the Deputy Head of Investor Relations. This person will serve as a spokesperson for the company and help lead and execute the IR function. This person will work closely with key functions and partners across BlackRock and with members of our senior leadership team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report on market performance, economic, regulatory and sustainability developments and other public market information
- Act as a spokesperson with the investment community regarding BlackRock’s business model, operating results and business strategy. This includes conducting investor engagements with buy- and sell-side analysts and proactively responding to inquiries received by the investor relations team
- Prepare briefing materials, Q&A and presentations for senior management and work closely with them in advance of shareholder engagements, including meetings, conferences, non-deal roadshows and Investor Days
- Work closely with the Deputy Head of IR on developing and executing the IR strategy and operating plan
- Lead content creation and processes around key external disclosures, including quarterly earnings releases, Annual Reports and Proxy
- Statements. Primary ownership of drafting CEO and CFO remarks as well as BlackRock Inc. narratives
- Review and oversee valuation and analytical exercises for BlackRock and its competitors, including examining financial results, strategy, and research
- Oversee shareholder CRM, including changes in ownership and primary contacts at both the institutional and fund levels
Job Requirements:
- Excellent writing abilities, including producing significant amounts of presentation and written content
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
- 7-10 years of financial services experience in asset management preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Cognos TM1, coding a plus
- Good judgment and outstanding ethics; desire to succeed in a fast paced, innovative, ambitious environment
