Job Description:
The role is to support our Head of EMEA BlackRock Sustainable Investing (BSI) as administrative assistant, as well as working closely with EMEA MDs on select internal strategic commercial projects and non-client external engagements. This is a fast-paced area of the business which requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team and the foresight to raise issues when appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute on (or oversee the execution of) clear action items and commitments following meetings
- Managing complex schedules, anticipating the needs for each meeting, and providing required materials, preparation and transit time
- Work with business partners to plan client engagements
- Ensure thorough preparation and review of all final materials / talking points
- Travel management, including booking of transportation, hotel bookings and connections
- Prioritize engagements, prepare presentation materials for key events, and drive the completion of critical projects
- Expense and compliance processing and tracking
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Minimum 3-5 years of corporate administrative experience in roles that interfaced with external clients and executive management
- Superior interpersonal skills; able to communicate and partner at all seniority levels and regions.
- A strong understanding of the firm’s business and the industry in which we operate, preferably with European experience
- Experience balancing multiple concurrent assignments, with a high degree of accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working on Concur preferred
- Someone who is intellectually curious with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a matrixed organization
- Strong proficiency and proven experience working in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
