As a Controls Manager for the Installment Lending Well Managed Team, you will have the chance to lead and oversee Control Development, Control Enhancement, Control Execution, Control Testing and Reporting, ensuring controls work meets quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead your team and foster an inclusive culture that enables the team to elevate each other
  • Build productive relationships with our Risk and Compliance Partners
  • Demonstrate curiosity and aptitude to understand the control environment within Capital One, and how it applies to a new product
  • Plan objectives/required actions to complete the 4 major buckets of work, a project or process redesign effort (evaluating solutions and resources, assessing current state)
  • Report Controls Team status and control results
  • Oversee work for your team while working on other projects independently and timely – ensuring timely escalation of impediments

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in People Management
  • 2+ years of COSO internal control or the Capital One Control Standard
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • 4+ years of experience in People Management
  • 4+ years of experience working with controls that mitigate or manage risk
  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management, Project Management or Risk Management
  • 2+ years of experience working with external vendors
  • At least 3 years of experience working with controls that mitigate or manage risk
  • 2+ years of experience working with PRIME or Fuse (GRC System of Record)
