Job Description:
The successful candidate for this position will be part of an exciting and dynamic environment to build and deliver industry leading ethical hacking capabilities to continuously protect and defend Capital One’s brand, systems and data.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and continually improve technical infrastructure to support operations
- Provide subject matter expertise in offensive security for cyber defenders, remediation teams and enterprise technology teams
- Apply applicable threat intelligence in order to mimic relevant threat actors
- Plan, spearhead and execute sophisticated adversary simulation activities against Capital One to enable identification and mitigation of identified vulnerabilities
- Research, develop, and apply offensive tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP’s) in order to effectively mimic the capabilities of relevant threat actors
Job Requirements:
- Proven ability to manage technical staff and projects, perform effective long term planning and implement continuous process improvement practices.
- Experience with security testing tools and tradecraft. Must have an in-depth understanding of common concepts relating to Command and Control (C2) frameworks and their development/customisation/use.
- Should have a strong understanding of networking concepts, Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems, cloud and web application vulnerabilities and exploitation.
- Able to communicate effectively up, down and across the organization, both verbally and in writing. Including the ability to explain complex technical findings to technical teams and executive audiences.
- Information security experience in one or more of the following areas: red teaming, penetration testing, application security, or network security.
