Job Description:

You’ll play a key role in managing assigned third party suppliers in our Tech Category with responsibility for the holistic relationship between Capital One and the assigned third party relationships, to ensure a stable and effective supply chain. You will also be helping shape, develop and execute against Supplier Strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage key relationships with your assigned suppliers and be responsible for undertaking all required activities to comply with Capital One’s
  • Third Party Management Policy at all stages of the Supplier life cycle (Due Diligence / Selection / Contracting / Onboarding / Monitoring / Offboarding)
  • Build deep internal stakeholder relationships with a high degree of credibility (including at executive level) that’ll enable you to shape and influence in the supplier space
  • Be an expert at Contract Management, including managing Suppliers in accordance with contract, but also liaising with legal teams to amend, vary, renew and add to Contractual arrangements over time (and in accordance with key internal policies and in support of relevant external regulation/guidance)
  • Liaise with other peers within SMO from our Risk and Governance and Sourcing functions along with wider SMO categories
  • You’ll bring your mastery and expertise in all matters related to Supply Chain and hold a high bar
  • Work closely with your internal business customers to understand issues, continuous improvement suggestions, new work requirements etc. to allow you to lead /facilitate appropriate discussions with your suppliers to drive the right value back into our business
  • Build up a detailed knowledge of your supplier’s business so that you can help establish a longer term strategic path for the business within your category of suppliers

Job Requirements:

  • Mastery in Supplier Management, with expertise in commercial, risk management, analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Supply Chain Management. Someone who has, and is prepared to continue to develop, fully rounded end to end lifecycle specialisms and skills
  • Expertise in Risk Management (financial services industry experience would also be advantageous)
  • Excellent and demonstrable communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • You’ll have the ability to create, develop and execute against specific Supplier Strategies, taking into account key internal and external market factors
  • Knowledge of Technology suppliers is also expected
  • Significant Supply Chain Experience with proven results and outcomes
