Job Description:

In this role, the incumbent will lead a team that is responsible for Benefits strategy and operations, first line HR inquiries, and Immigration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze current and developing legislation, external benchmarking and other environmental factors impacting plan performance and program competitiveness
- Partner with business leaders, develop and implement benefits strategy to address workforce challenges such as attrition and market competitiveness
- Utilize data to understand plan or program performance and drive design recommendations
- Manages benefits financial budget along with regular claims utilization review, communication and plan design initiatives
- Effectively manage relationships with vendors including responsibility for business relationships, acting as an escalation point for contract and
- SLA issues, review program and delivery metrics to proactively manage program issues/trends/updates.
- Develop effective communication plans to optimize impact, understanding of and engagement in benefits and programs
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve the associate experience and drive greater integration across benefits programs
- Monitors trends in the competitive market to ensure benefits program is poised to attract and retain employees
- Develop, implement and/or manage the Capital One Canada benefit plan designs that align with the company’s strategic objectives and deliver a transformed associate experience
- Lead benefits plan and policy change initiatives including annual rate renewal efforts
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Benefits Strategy and Implementation
- Demonstrated experience/proficiency in process improvement example: agile, green belt or change management certification
- 2+ years HR Operations experience
- Advanced training in the HR benefits space
- A strategic thinking and problem solver, including out of box thinking and ideas
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong skills in teamwork and collaboration
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 – 3 years and a passion for people leadership
- Strong project management skills including proven ability to manage multiple projects and effectively manage stakeholders
- At least one year of HR Operations experience
