Job Description:
As HR declares refreshed strategic priorities, you will be pivotal in shaping & iterating on how HR leaders & teams interact and deliver together to drive meaningful advancements on our top priority work. You will partner across key eHR & HR lines of business teams to drive clarity of accountability, transparency into integrated work plans and measures of success, and ensure integrated partnerships across teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be motivated to respond to evolving business needs and new leader and associate insights, shifting strategies, roadmaps, and tactics throughout the year as needed
- Support the effective onboarding of new HR leaders by accelerating their understanding of how to get decisions made and advance work
- Generate excitement about and lead through the changes that will come with evolving HR’s delivery model to advance our HR priorities
- Collaborate with a broad set of partners, and develop & leverage relationships with key internal stakeholders across HR lines of business and eHR teams
- Lead and evolve eHR’s leadership routines and management system and key aspects of the broader HR leadership delivery model during a time of evolving priorities, and as Capital One adopts a hybrid work model
- Oversee & simplify delivery of eHR- & HR-wide leadership and HRC routines, information sharing products, and practices for highest leverage in advancing work on our HR priorities and ongoing effective governance & management practices
- Seek & respond to needs, sentiment, and usage of our products, routines, and practices in a highly customer-driven way. Monitor, iterate, and drive continual enhancements according to data & insights
- Be a compelling influencer to gain acceptance of changes & drive desired behaviors
- Partner closely with HR leaders to reimagine, stand up, and drive integrated delivery structures
- Serve as a key people leader on the thread team, fostering a trusting, inclusive, and collaborative work environment, and with strong commitment to talent development
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, including experience in an HR client-facing role
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- At least 5 years of People Leadership experience
- Strong verbal/ written communication (e.g., active listening, leader presentations)
- At least 5 years of Human Resources OR at least 5 years of Project Management experience OR at least 5 years of Process Management experience
- 5+ years of experience in Program/Portfolio Management
- Masters Degree in Business (MBA) or Masters Degree in Human Resources
- High integrity to deal with confidential and sensitive topics
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- Strong analytical skills (e.g., strategically & creatively solve problems through frameworks & data)
- Proven experience developing strategy and designing & building new initiatives or programs
