Job Description:
As a Process Manager at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for managing and enhancing processes that deliver excellence to your customer each and every time. The Asset Management and Business Controls/Compliance team performs and manages compliance processes for various risk and compliance activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Measure, collect, and analyze process data for reporting to team, partners, senior leadership and executives; review data for trends and identify gaps in the process which may require remediation
- Remediate process breakdowns through solving complex problems and involving the right stakeholders
- Meet regularly with partners to review process performance, solve breakdowns, and discuss improvement opportunities
- Define, establish, and manage process controls
- Report process breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement steps to prevent future breakdowns
- Identify process improvement opportunities, plan and document process improvement or redesign initiatives (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams), socialize plans with & influence stakeholders, and implement improvements through collaboration with other groups
- Create and maintain formal process documents (e.g., controls, procedures, diagrams/process flows, etc.)
- Perform process or parts of it, as needed
- Provide customer service and training to internal customers on processes as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- Master’s Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in Risk Management or Compliance
- LEAN certification or Six Sigma certification
- 5+ years of experience in Process Management
