Cat Careers – Production Scheduler

Job Description:

As production scheduler you will be responsible translating the output from the monthly Sales and Operations Planning information into a production plan which subsequently drives demand and orders on the factory as well as external suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Takes a lead role specifying and testing any system improvement developments
• Develops an attachment forecast based on historical usage and future demand
• Validates the output from the production planning process
• Inputs the plan into the Peterlee bespoke ERP system
• Provides subject matter expertise to project teams addressing supply constraints, performing impact analysis and data
• Develops and inputs phase in / phase out schedule plans for New Product Introduction.
• Creating accurate Executive Production Schedules
• Manages the maintenance of the system data fields to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Maintains up to date standard work

Job Requirements:

• Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Executive Production Scheduling (EPS)
• Familiar with company policies and procedures including inventory procedures
• Good interpersonal, communications, teamwork, and collaboration skills
• Strong customer focus
• Relevant experience within supply chain planning, experience may include…
• Awareness of the importance of compliance
• Thorough knowledge and experience of using Peterlee ERP system
