Job Description:
As an Engineer with the Advanced Power Products Group, you will have the opportunity to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes while strengthening your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global team across multiple functional areas within CAT
- Initiate design concepts for NPI/CPI Issue correction
- Create schematics and wiring diagrams for designs
- Support TMI data collection and loading into systems
- Support EOL test process and execution in NPI phase
- Support creation and delivery of technical reports
- Complete designs, support POC/Pilot builds and prototype testing
- Electrical design of subsystems for advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Support factory implementation of PSPS on new products
Job Requirements:
- 3 -5 years of experience in New Product Development
- Experience with Power Generation product development (Generator sets, Switchgears, Power modules or other related)
- Strong communication skills – Oral and written complemented by the ability to develop and deliver technical presentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology from an accredited curriculum
