Job Description:

The Validation Specialist position develops, tests, and troubleshoots software systems used for autonomous drill machines. This generally includes onboard system validation work that integrates with current machine systems and includes the autonomy sub-system areas of Planning, Perception, and Positioning technologies, as well as infrastructure areas supporting the development of these sub-systems (calibration, simulation, analytics).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include a strong quality focus through thorough test planning and execution. Thorough documentation and communication of issues is a must.
  • Advanced data analysis and systems analysis efforts and skills are needed to help troubleshoot complex issues from test or customer sites, and to examine the information from test sites to improve overall systems performance.
  • You will work closely with the Autonomy Software Developers and Strategist roles to translate complex program or subsystem requirements into actionable development efforts and support the evaluation and development of validation plans.

Job Requirements:

  • Available to participate in conference calls on opposite time zones (India, Australia).
  • Experience in product validation in an Agile environment.
  • Available for international travel 10% per year.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer) or equivalent.
  • Experience with CAN/J1939 protocols.
  • Experience with GPS positioning, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, SSL.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in development, test, or validation of complex systems.
  • Bilingual (English & French).
