Job Description:
The Cybersecurity Advisor is a liaison between Corporate Cybersecurity, and our business partners to help understand their operations and maintain global security processes. The Cybersecurity Advisor develops collaborative relationships and provides expertise, technical guidance, and security awareness to facility locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise on processes and methodologies required when evaluating purchased product solutions and developing new internal solutions
- Knowledge & capability to identify the business risk and assist on developing the remediation strategy with business partners
- Serve as trusted advisor to effectively communicate IT risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable
- Capability of building business relationship and business engagement with BU Customers
- Knowledge & understanding of the core business functions and processes
- Provide consultation on Cybersecurity objectives and compliance with relevant security standards, policies, and procedures
Job Requirements:
- 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and or related field of study and a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience with Cybersecurity related majors
- Certification from an accredited security organization is preferred. (e.g. CISSP, CISM,CRISC, ISO270001LA,etc) Equivalent experience may be substituted for education
- Experience in security, integration, infrastructure system administration, or support work
- Analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge & Understanding of in multiple Cybersecurity domains
