Job Description:

Resource Industries IT currently has an opening for a Senior IT Analyst – Technical Infrastructure to lead the IT Factory Integration team in Decatur, IL. This position will provide leadership for a team of IT Analysts supporting manufacturing application, network and infrastructure needs for our largest North American manufacturer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in integrated testing and acceptance of infrastructure components
  • Design and implement processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support
  • Team Lead – lead a team of IT Analysts supporting manufacturing applications and infrastructure; provide guidance and direction to team members as needed
  • Manage security initiatives related to factory floor applications and servers within team scope
  • Work with vendors on the integration of purchased systems and/or infrastructure solutions
  • Work independently or as part of a team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components
  • Work independently or as part of a team on complex infrastructure technology components that may be used by one or more applications or systems
  • Work directly on technical problem identification and resolution, including weekend support functions

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to reset passwords, create accounts and manage groups
  • Candidate must have a Computer Science or Manufacturing degree, or 5 years IT factory-facing experience
  • Availability to work off-shift when needed for systems changes or be on a call rotation to provide support should any systems be down on an evening or weekends
  • Working knowledge of Cisco network hardware and software
  • Experience with manufacturing applications (such as PINpoint or Freedom eLOG)
  • Able to respond to demanding target dates
  • 1 – 2 years demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to configure and troubleshoot issues regarding desktops, workstations, and laptops; Must understand Microsoft Office Suite and be able to Install/Configure applications
  • General Networking skills, such as TCPIP settings on a PC, Cat5 Wiring, some knowledge of how VPN and Routers work; able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when needed
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time as well as being a collaborative team member
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with the design, implementation, or support of control systems
