Job Description:

As an Engineer with the Advanced Power Products Group, you will have the opportunity to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes while strengthening your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a global team across multiple functional areas within CAT
• Coordinate test work at Caterpillar Technical Center or at third party NRTL
• Support creation and delivery of technical reports
• Support test planning, identifying, and solving challenging problems

Job Requirements:

• Self-starter with aptitude for developing clear & complete technical requirements
• 2 -5 years of experience in New Product Development and/or Requirements Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology from an accredited curriculum
• Relevant industry or academic experience with focus on battery energy storage systems
• Proficiency with power systems validation and using common validation lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power meter and data acquisition system
• Experience with electrical product testing on generator sets or machines systems
• Strong communication skills – Oral and written complemented by the ability to develop/deliver technical presentation
