Job Description:

In this role, you will be an advocate and bring passion and empathy for helping some of the hardest working people on the planet, Cat customers. You will set and execute a vision for creating an amazing eCommerce experience, focusing on ensuring our shopping and buying experience is contextual and relevant to the service jobs they are trying to perform and the fleet of assets they manage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and optimize our mobile eCommerce strategy (mobile web and native), improving usability across mobile devices for key customer use cases, facilitating seamless integrations with other Cat Digital applications, and growing parts sales
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the product
  • Conduct extensive Product Discovery and Customer Research to establish Product/Market Fit
  • Set a vision for where our eCommerce experience should grow over the next 3 years, as well as partner with peer product managers and engineering teams to deliver the vision
  • Shaping how to better integrate or embed eCommerce functionality across Caterpillar’s broad digital portfolio
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and their business, allowing you to empathize with them and advocate on their behalf.
  • Responsible for elaboration of epics and features to get those to Definition of Ready (DoR)
  • Participate in Sprint Planning meetings, Reveals and Retrospectives

Job Requirements:

  • Domain expert in business applications and/or eCommerce
  • 5+ years’ experience as a product manager or UX strategist
  • 3+ years of experience with the Agile methodology
  • Four year Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute an outcome and hypothesis driven roadmap
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately to ensure a team’s success, including product decisions and the rationale behind them with a focus on utilizing data to guide those decisions
  • Strong design background with proven ability to partner with UX and guide product design decisions to deliver simple user experiences
