Job Description:

The Integrated Components & Solutions HR team is looking for a Human Resources Manager located in Mossville, Illinois. As an HR Manager at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for multiple department level managers: OEM Solutions and Aftermarket & Services Growth, ICS Business Resources, Innovation & Early Technology, and Lean Center of expertise covering over 1,000 employees. Incumbent manages and contributes to the joint strategic leadership of departmental and division issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research, benchmark, create strategic initiatives, and design implementation strategy to improve business unit results at all locations.
  • Formulates and/or implements policies, practices and procedures related to employment practices, appropriate training, benefits, and safety
  • Develop and coordinate development, and promotion to ensure proper and effective staffing, personnel selection and practices, strategic workforce planning and succession planning, skills development, training, policy & practice interpretation and application
  • Assist managers in addressing individual and organizational effectiveness issues and compensation administration
  • Keep employees, managers, and department heads advised on changes
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Department level managers and their teams on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency
  • Provide strategic HR direction considering impact upon the company (financial), employee engagement, and consideration for the future (new practices, policies, and procedures)
  • Participate as a functional manager on business teams ensuring human resources is an integral part of the business strategy
  • Employee Insights survey action planning through integrating cultural values in the day-to-day business activities

Job Requirements:

  • Workday experience
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to present, influence and collaborate at the leadership level
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience are required
  • Experience providing HR Guidance in bargained and non-bargained facilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Related Field or 10 years of Human Resources experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Background in the following human resources areas is required: strategic workforce planning, employee development, engagement, diversity & inclusion strategies
  • Familiarity with functional areas, policies and procedures
