Job Description:
The ICRM Risk and Control MCA Manager serves as a senior compliance risk officer responsible for using the Managers Control Assessment (MCA), Citi’s internal risk and control self-assessment program, to establish internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the Firm’s risk appetite and protect the franchise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, delivering and maintaining enhancements to Compliance, programs, policies and practices for ICRM.
- Providing oversight and guidance over the assessment of complex issues, structuring potential solutions and driving effective resolution with other stakeholders.
- Assessing previously identified control breakdowns to determine root cause and execute read-across to detect potential emerging risks and develop risk mitigation processes and activities
- Leveraging knowledge of Laws, Rules and Regulations to determine vulnerabilities that might result in regulatory criticism and work with stakeholders to identify remediation solutions
- Identifying and assessing Citi’s key compliance risks. Ensuring compliance risks within Citi are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled, consistent with the bank’s risk appetite statement and all policies and processes established within the risk governance framework.
- Monitoring adherence to Citi’s Compliance Risk Policies and measuring compliance risk through a robust control framework and ensuring that reviews are conducted consistently across each entity on a regular basis to confirm that controls identified are operating effectively.
- Developing and implementing analytics that leverage MCA results and other risk and control data, to identify potential control deficiencies and vulnerabilities
- Analyzing identified regulatory, audit, compliance or business-identified issues or operational risk incidents to identify potential patterns, themes or trends
- Assisting with the development of enhanced reporting that communicates opportunities to improve MCA effectiveness
- Performing complex analyses of comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments, and monitoring of compliance related issues.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) or Citi internal Managers’ Control Assessment (MCA) guidelines and execution principals
- Familiarity with Operational Risk Management common practices and oversight responsibilities
- Experience in assurance activities with an internal audit or compliance testing function, a plus
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
- Solid understanding of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies; and awareness of regulatory requirements including local and US laws, international and industry standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level
- Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized
- Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive;
