Job Description:

The Data Custodian is a position responsible for delivering results through the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Bank development team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary
• Appropriately assess risk and controls when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Business and Development areas to provide oversight across systems and applications
• Analyze and propose data related solutions for projects

Job Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Experience addressing inconsistencies in data and resolving data quality issues in applications
• Experience with the metadata and data flow through an application to support capture, organization, movement, transformation, and storage of data
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry experience covering full SDLC cycle and exposure to banking domain areas such as accounting, savings, deposits, loans, authentication, payments and transfers
• Exposure to Citibank and Corebanking system knowledge preferred
• Experience in driving application enhancements and change initiatives
• Liaison with business owners on all of the above activities
• Experience as senior level in Applications Development role
• Stakeholder and people management experience
• Experience managing Data Dictionaries
