Job Description:
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is a critical role that will help drive the end-to-end deliverables for the Production Resiliency work stream under the TTS strategic client experience pillar. Successful candidate will be integral to evolving traditional support organization into newly formed SRE practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop framework for testing configuration and infrastructure changes which can be incorporated into release management process
- Implement libraries that can be utilized by application development teams to ensure observability standards are followed
- Provide solutions and recommendations to teams working on Production Resiliency streams
- Contribute to defining resiliency standards and best practices.
- Actively participate in architecture, design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services
- Drive service reliability by developing tooling that enables scalability, resilience and automation of manual tasks.
- Perform intent driven capacity planning for new and existing services
- Educate and train production support personnel on SRE principles
Job Requirements:
- Expertise analyzing complex application, database, network, and OS issues across a distributed large scale customer facing systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical team
- Experience in Java or .NET, Ansible, Kubernetes, Splunk, Prometheus. OpenTelmetry is a plus.
- BS or MS in Computer science or related engineering field is strongly preferred
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience in SRE roles
