Job Description:

The Operations Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing and leading global consistent best practices and processes across FX and MM Operations teams, utilizing common technology and capabilities to strengthen risk and control and offer best in class client experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent Citi at an industry level in all forums such as, FMI and vendor working groups, governance bodies such as GFXD/AFME, and strive to influence outcomes to the benefit of industry safety and soundness and Citi and its client’s best interests.
  • Oversee and lead program management of internal workstreams, such as Annapurna, Voyager, Operations Resilience etc.
  • Oversight of operations owned technology platforms and products, including user testing, implementation, and enhancements.
  • Development of new strategic processing capabilities, in line with Risk Reduction Strategies and in support of Business growth.
  • Oversee and manage interactions between operations, operations technology and production support teams to address operational and technical issues and outages impacting the wider operations function.
  • Oversee and lead implementation of process/procedural/technology changes globally to ensure consistency in risk and control, client experience and operations efficiency.
  • Maintain pristine controls environment and promote no surprise culture via proactive escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Lead continual process re-engineering efforts, efficiency management, quality improvement and cost optimization
  • Oversee all operational elements of strategic technology rollout programs – QFXLM, CMS, CitiFX Pulse etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage complex issues, and implement and manage a successful risk/control environment.
  • Execution focused, overcomes obstacles and minimizes bureaucracy.
  • Experience in delivering strategic change programmes spanning multiple years in a fast paced, large global financial services firm. Ideally in an operations or technology organization.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
  • Gifted in communications and proven success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations and Technology environments, as well as with senior-level clients or vendors.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant subject experience
  • In-depth insight into how Operations and Technology functions within a global tier 1 financial institution.
  • Excellent understanding of ICG policies, systems and business processes.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions) and articulates complex recommendations.
  • Significant experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions.
  • Advanced level experience in a related role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
  • Possesses expert level of knowledge in communications and proven success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations and Technology environments
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • In-depth Operations knowledge (8+ years) with experience in working across large, complex business lines.
  • Operational experience in Foreign Exchange and Money Market Operations preferably managing teams and processes.
