You will be a key participant in all stages of software development lifecycle, contributing to the planning, development, testing & maintaining of applications & solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Resolve a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
  • Act as a SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgement and autonomy
  • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
  • Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development

Job Requirements:

  • Exposure to Big Data technologies like Hadoop/Spark, would be a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Docker/OpenShift/AWS would be a plus
  • 6-10 years of Java development experience
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of Equity and Capital Markets
  • Ability to work with global teams across multiple time zones
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Experience in systems analysis and programming of modern software applications
  • Experience on Core Java/J2EE, Spring, Concurrency and Multi-threading
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Data driven, results-oriented, and a quick learner of new tools & technologies
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQLServer & NoSQL databases like MongoDB
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix, Jenkins, TeamCity, Sonar Cube, Bitbucket, Jira
