Job Description:
This individual will plan, coordinate and direct the activities of groups of workers within the Street Maintenance section. Analyze and resolve staff, equipment and operating problems and recommend changes to increase efficiency. Prepare, coordinate, update and/or refer work orders to the appropriate entity. Trains new employees. Assist with daily operational tasks as needed; will drive city vehicle.
Job Requirements:
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in the maintenance field are required.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and compliance with the City of Houston policy on driving (AP 2-2).
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement.
- Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or a GED.
