Job Description:
The Strategic Analytics group delivers applications that solve quantitative problems. The group’s key delivery, a project known as Kannon, is to provide a step-change improvement in the quality of Risk and Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis across many functions including Rates and Credit Trading, Treasury and the Transaction Bank.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implementing and improving the control environment enhancing robustness and minimising outages
- Improving integration of the Strats application stack with the information security and application governance functions of the Bank
- Working in partnership with Trading, Structuring, Methodology, Technology and Operations to support the build-out of the strategic analytics platforms
- Developing and supporting the intraday and end-of-day pricing, risk and P&L reporting in Kannon’s expansion across Deutsche Bank
Job Requirements:
- Educated to Bachelor’s degree level (in a subject such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Maths) or, equivalent qualification/ relevant work experience
- Able to multi-task different projects and prioritise against tight deadlines
- Experience within banking or finance and an understanding of cash and derivatives financial products
- Excellent computing and programming skills. The application stack has a C++ core with extensive use of Python
- Excellent experience of infrastructure and database technologies such as My Structured Query Language (MySQL), Oracle, Redis, Reuters Market Data System (RMDS)
