Job Description:
This role within FIG entails both client coverage and transaction execution. Given the industry specifics, FIG provides its services from within the team, although we also collaborate with other teams. Within Corporate Finance we primarily work with country coverage, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Financial Sponsors Group, Leveraged Debt Capital Markets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation of client presentations and pitches, and supporting senior bankers in the coverage effort of key accounts across the sector
- Preparing complex financial analysis and models tailored to insurers as well as banks, asset managers and other financial institutions
- Supervising and coordinating associates and analysts in the above tasks, supporting where necessary
- Conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation and financial modelling
- Coordinating and assisting in the origination and execution of M&A, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Finance and ECM transactions – including the ability to manage and run workstreams on transactions
Job Requirements:
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Relevant Corporate Finance experience supporting the origination and execution of transactions, ideally as a Vice President in the Investment Bank or associated industries
- Understanding of complex transactions across M&A, Leveraged Finance, DCM and ECM
- Recent and relevant Financial Institutions Group sector experience a plus
- Strong quantitative, numerical, and analytical skills with a focus on financial modelling and accounting
