Job Description:
This role will have a European-wide focus, providing financial reporting, analysis and planning support to all commercial and functional areas of the EMEA business. There will also be a significant ad hoc element to the role, working on a variety of projects to support our growth, therefore you will need to be able to quickly get up to speed, be comfortable working under pressure and up for a challenge.
Job Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will leverage Dexcom’s financial data to help unlock insights and create process efficiency for key stakeholders
- Analyze data to proactively unlock insights, identify trends, and uncover opportunities.
- The analyst may be asked to take on additional business support responsibilities and ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Identify process improvements through automation and streamlining.
- Provide insight and analysis with clear and interactive reporting through visualization using digital tools available to help drive awareness, and identify risks and opportunities
- Assist in preparing monthly business reviews decks, monthly analytics decks, and quarterly audit committee/Board of Directors presentations.
- Execute core FP&A processes (e.g. month-end close, forecasting, reporting, etc.) to support front-line Finance teams.
- This role will have a focus on revenue and operating expenditures, assisting in revenue and cost planning and analysis for EMEA and reporting and presentation of actual / historic costs data.
- This role will be primarily responsible for providing finance support for the broader FP&A organization, reporting into the FP&A Manager in Edinburgh.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable ability to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgment when necessary
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications
- Understand general accounting/finance principles (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, month-end close process/reporting, accruals/prepaids,
- GAAP/Non-GAAP reporting).
- Display sound financial and commercial acumen and judgement
- Good communication skills and comfortable working with upper levels of management.
- Adaptable and flexible – the candidate must be able to balance priorities and be able to apply themselves to a number of varying deliverables at the same time.
- Excellent logical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management, and Tableau beneficial
- Eagerness to learn and understand the business needs
