Job Description:

Dexcom is looking for an experienced, dynamic DevOps Cloud Automation Engineer to help design and maintain Dexcom’s cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining the automation of Dexcom’s cloud (production and non-production) environments
Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation as a level 2 engineer
Improve system monitoring and alerting to improve incident time to resolution while decreasing false positives
Responsible for working with the Engineering team to establish standards and create and maintain CI/CD environments for Dexcom ‘s software products
Work to decrease hosting costs by using proactive and responsive auto-scaling algorithms and changes to technology solutions.
Incorporate new cloud technology improvements
Update systems to support new development and technology initiatives
Improve systems logging and benchmarking to fine tune application infrastructure and gain better insight into system issues and performance
Ability to communicate clearly with all internal and external stakeholders

Ability to think of infrastructure as code and strong experience in creating and maintaining the infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Experience with modern source control systems, Git preferred
Passion and ability to script manual steps in a process that span multiple environments
Familiarity with JIRA and other Atlassian suite of products
Comfortable working with cloud environments like Google Cloud , AWS, and Azure.(Google Cloud preferred)
Ability to think out of the box to complex and unique internal and customer facing issues
At least 7 years’ experience working on designing, creating, and maintaining an automation framework designed for the cloud
Strong scripting skills in bash, PowerShell, Python and Go for working on both Linux and Windows environments
Strong understanding of pipeline orchestration technologies like Jenkins, Atlassian Bamboo and Harness
