Estee Lauder Jobs – Director Data Scientist

Job Description:

Responsible for building large data sets from multiple sources in order to build algorithms for predicting future data characteristics. Those algorithms will be tested, validated, and applied to large data sets. Responsible for researching new trends in the industry and utilizing up-to-date technology and analytical skills to support assigned projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead extension of models to include additional co-variates (promo, halo, cannibalization)
• Lead deployment & optimization of machine learning forecasting models for order & point of sale forecasts to maximize mix accuracy, plan completeness, stability & reasonability for a complex worldwide supply chain
• Drive tactical model & statistical forecast adjustments over different forecast horizons as business needs arise (bias correction, startups, closures, new integrations)
• Collaborate with a wide array of regional & global stakeholders to execute model deployment & optimization
• Develop an understanding of regional & global business dynamics to inform & optimize modeling choices
