Job Description:

As Director of Events and Catering, you would be responsible for directing and administering catering and event operations in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Direct and administer all catering and event operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, soliciting new accounts, negotiating contracts, merchandising and marketing, planning, event execution, cost control implementation, systems management, budget and forecasting, department management, adherence to federal, state and local standards and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Communicate with and provide direction and supervision to team members to execute catering events
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
  • Develop market segments, solicit new customers, negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with current customers
