Job Description:
This is an evening position. Maintains the physical functionality of the hotel including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas, performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enter major accomplishments into the log book
- Establishes a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership
- Maintain proper functioning of all equipment and tools
- Read the daily log book
- Adheres to a preventative maintenance schedule
- Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed by the engineering leadership
- Utilize the log book to communicate key information
- Maintains a clean, neat shop work area, sweeping and cleaning as necessary
- Must be willing to plunge, snake, and replace toilets
- Maintain inventory of parts and lubricants
Job Requirements:
- Experience with solving guest issues
- 2 years experience of hotel facility maintenance or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- High school graduation or equivalent preferred
- A combination of education, training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
