Job Description:
Work under moderate supervision to assist experienced Engineers and Technicians with a variety of day to day recurring tasks
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist and train PRTs, inspectors, and operators on gage operation and maintenance
- Perform mechanical and basic electrical analysis of gages using, gage operating instructions, and relevant equipment
- Use technology for designs, testing, and maintenance of tools and gages
- Support PRTs and inspectors to adhere to appropriate protocols including but not limited to cleaning
- Use mechanical design tool to aid engineers in the gage procurement & maintenance tasks
- Support gage engineers with certain responsibilities on the manufacturing floor
- Follow defined procedures and processes using various equipment to complete tasks
Job Requirements:
- Good people skills, ability to motivate teams to produce on-target and timely results
- Two (2) or more years’ practical experience in supporting products or product fabrication in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, especially tools and gages or medical device assembly and/or fabrication
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
- Proven ability in decision making and organization, planning and problem-solving skills
- US Citizenship to obtain and maintain US Dept. of Energy “”Q””-level security clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to plan and organize, demonstrate excellent time management and support several projects at once
- Experience in engineering related administrative activities such as configuration management, gage inspection, gage operating procedures (GOI/AF), gage tryout, product testing procedures & data entry preferred
