Job Description:

The Third Party Risk Officer is the coordinator and primary point of contact on third party risk related matters for US Operations. The TPRO provides third party risk management support, subject matter expertise, leadership and direction for US Operations Contact Owners (a.k.a. TPEMs) on third party risk related matters with a key focus on critical and “high risk” relationships. This role reports into Operational Services manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support of US Operation Contract Owners throughout the Vendor lifecycle process
  • Serves as main point of contact for all US Operations external third party requests including, but not exclusive to, Third Party Risk (TPR), Third Party Management (TPM), Risk Domains, and Global Operations.
  • Local partnership with US Operations CCO for external third party control matters
  • Support and continued on-going education of third party risk related matters
  • Serves as main point of contact for internal and external audits and reviews related to external third parties
  • Active member of the Global Operations Cost and Supplier Management team- currently under Stuart Rose
  • Local and Global Operation reporting for external third party risk related matters

Job Requirements:

  • Skills desired: ability to coach/train, people engagement
  • High level summary of the US Ops TPRO role for posting
  • Strong communications (verbal & written), Analytical Problem Solving, Negotiations & Relationship mgmt., Risk management & Leadership capabilities
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services or equivalent, Third Party Risk experience a plus
  • Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
