Job Description:

The Group Head of Retail Business Banking Propositions will have direct responsibility for Retail Business Banking (RBB) teams with a focus on working very closely with markets and regions to shape the next generation of propositions, products, partnership to ensure we keep on the current growth trajectory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be relevant and in tune with fast changing industry, market and customer trends, in order to continually optimize RBB to deliver world class digital / mobile first customer experiences
  • Provide stewardship to the markets. Continue being a strong advocate and partner for the top 2 markets – Mexico, Argentina where we have a healthy business
  • Partner and collaborate with the International, EBS, Premier and Wealth teams to create seamless experiences and proposition continuum for our High Value customers and leverage the opportunities for driving deeper value for the customers and the bank
  • Create global shared capabilities to enable the market teams to identify and enable High Value Customer growth locally
  • Partner very closely with the CMB team to ensure that markets are getting the support they need and showcase collaboration in service of our customers
  • Focus energy on driving the remainder of markets in other key regions like ASP with a clear focus on Indonesia, China, India
  • Formulate, design and execute proposition strategy to support WPB future growth and revenue opportunities, enabling HSBC to increase High Value customers’ market share and compete in Home and scale markets, whilst delivering a level of customer and employee advocacy superior to regional and market competitors
  • Support Premier teams on designing the entrepreneur segment propositions

Job Requirements:

  • Strong and proven experience in growing sales, reducing costs, improving customer satisfaction and in a multi-channel environment. The role should have a personal level of expertise / knowledge at least equal to if not surpassing any other in the global business
  • Strong knowledge of sales performance management
  • Strong background in Business banking, RBB products and proposition the focus on driving acquisition and engagement across our customer base. These skills are also critical as the role drives continuous improvement across RBB markets and looks to help HSBC co-create and collaborate closely with start-ups and customers
  • Deep experience and expertise in Small Business banking, including but not limited to customer needs, sales processes, operational procedures, competitive insight, incentive programs, sales tools, performance management and value drivers for micro-businesses, entrepreneurs, sole traders and more mature type of businesses.
  • Ability to drive change with respect to costs, revenue and quality of service
  • Relevant leadership experience
  • Global experience and experience of developing and emerging markets
