Job Description:

Draw, update and maintain line drawings, electrical, civil, structural, building and other diagrams associated with Power Operations, with computer or, when necessary, by hand.

Job Responsibilities:

  • For holding as confidential information obtained in connection with Company business.
  • Create, maintain and prepare special posters, signs, charts, maps or indexes when requested.
  • Responsible for safe, prudent, efficient and effective use of Company resources.
  • Quality and accuracy in updating and maintaining Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) drawings and information.
  • Maintain and update information in the electronic drawing management system.
  • Assist in taking field measurements or sketches at the site to resolve discrepancies on drawings or maps, and/or obtain additional information.
  • Conduct self in efficient and effective manner.
  • Change drawings to match marked prints or verbal instructions.

Job Requirements:

  • Successfully pass the Company’s EEI Technical Aptitude test. If an aptitude test is failed on the employee’s initial effort, it may be retaken after a one month waiting period, but not to be taken more than once per job posting. Only two retakes will be permitted.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Within the previous two (2) years, must have completed one of the following: a. Satisfactory completion of the six (6) credit hours in CAD or other drafting technology as part of the 15-hour education requirement above. b. One (1) year of work experience regularly utilizing Computer Aided Drafting tools.
  • Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of fifteen (15) credit hours leading toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in design drafting, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) or other drafting technology, with at least six (6) credit hours in Computer Aided Drafting or other drafting technology, at an accredited university, college or junior college of study. Satisfactory completion means receiving a minimum grade of C in each class.
