Job Description:
The Supervisor, Plant Services directs, trains, and evaluates personnel engaged in the daily housekeeping duties, Coal Operations, Coal Equipment Maintenance, seasonal maintenance of plant property and auxiliary areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safety of personnel and equipment under his/her jurisdiction, maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficient use of manpower in the work group, and instructing and training personnel in proper and safe work practices.
- Manage a 24/7 Coal Operations department to ensure staff coverage at all times and equipment is available.
- Provide support to other plant departments, as required by plant and scheduling needs.
- Ensure documentation of completed work activities is complete and accurate. Maintain overtime, vacation, and timekeeping records.
- Supervise and develop work groups to support the power plant and associated structures to assure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation.
- Manage the laborer staff on a daily basis for plant housekeeping activities.
- Monitor and oversee activities and performance of contractors, including those performing housekeeping duties.
- Supervise plant and equipment cleaning. Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies.
- Perform planning and coordination of complex activities within your department.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment.
- Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
- Good leadership, decision-making, communication, human relations, and computer skills required. Subject to 24-hour call-out.
- Five or more years power plant or equivalent experience required. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
