Job Description:

This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility. They will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. Develops, implements and promotes awareness of more complex business Privacy policies of their assigned area(s) of responsibility. They will conduct more complex compliance reviews and risk analysis to monitor the effectiveness of these policies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Consulting on complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Communicating increasingly complex privacy issues/concerns/complaints to management as needed.
  • Developing and implementing complex privacy policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Promoting awareness of the organization’s privacy policies through drafting articles, assisting with reporting, and presentations.
  • Drafting and reviewing complex responses to consumer access requests based on a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the substantive issues presented.
  • Responding and resolving complex consumer complaints involving privacy issues within established timeframes; ensuring actions taken in resolving complaints are sound; and that the resolution is fair, consistent, and equitable and takes into account all of the circumstances in the situation.
  • Complying with departmental and regulatory guidelines relating to timeliness, fairness, record-keeping laws and regulations, documentation, and reporting.
  • Identifying and recommending process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for the enterprise.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 – 5+ Years of experience in privacy or similar compliance field that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, laws and regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s) (Minimum Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
