Job Description:
Serves on a team of legal administrative specialists that supports the Office of the General Counsel at NASA HQ in Washington DC. The Paralegal Specialist has lead responsibility for supporting 12 attorneys in the General Law Practice Group in administrative hearings, file preparation, document management, tracking assigned projects, and knowledge management. Provides administrative support to include travel planning, meeting preparation, and office management.
Job Requirements:
- Completed all requirements for a master’s or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
- One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level Drafting important and nuanced written communications preferably related to legal matters, including formal letters, analysis and reports; Prioritizing work, multitasking, and supporting team members by completing various administrative tasks;
- Utilizing computerized document management tools and applications to research legal matters and maintain legal records. OR
- You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.
