Job Description:

In this unique opportunity at JPL, you will gain practical work experiences and a better understanding of JPL’s Education Office programs and associated administrative processes. You will be a part of the process to support Higher Education Group goals and objectives, through projects, experiences, discussions, and assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and sending communications which may include welcome, arrival, and extension emails to interns, mentors and business teams.
  • Tracking internship applications and associated required document submissions, review documents to ensure applicant meets eligibility requirements,
  • Collecting/tracking intern final reports
  • Creating new records in the Education Office web tool portal for internship programs, onboarding new participants using JPL business web tools, and drafting required documents needed for internship program processes.
  • Creating and communicating new summer surveys and sending weekly reminders for survey completion
  • Testing new features of Education Office webtools
  • Submitting and tracking onboarding submissions daily, monitor for stalled processes and email relevant parties to facilitate closure of administrative processes.
  • Planning, coordinating, and participating in student events, enrichment activities, and tours.
  • Maintaining a high attention to detail when reviewing or entering data into our systems

Job Requirements:

  • General knowledge of applicable industry and/or academic practices and standards in business administration, education, communications, human resources, or similar programs.
  • Must have at least 1 semester or quarter remaining to complete degree.
  • Recently completed coursework providing an understanding and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques in business administration, education, communications, human resources, or similar programs.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent.
  • Must be available to work during the summer full time (40 hours per week).
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time at an accredited local college or university pursuing a bachelor’s, education, communications, human resources, or similar programs.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week, with a maximum of 30 hours per week during the academic school year.
