Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with established Shotgrid-based pipeline, assessing and ensuring efficiency of tools and workflows
  • Maintain and extend the suite of pipeline tooling
  • Write solutions that adhere to studio development standards and best practices
  • Audit & manage assets and tracking data
  • Write and maintain tool and workflow documentation and training
  • Collaborate with Production to assess, prioritize and implement all requests
  • Oversight of all aspects of the Shotgrid application, including administration, tools integration, and documentation
  • Assist in training of pipeline tools and workflows for new team members
  • Craft bespoke and tailored solutions to address unique show challenges
  • Collaborate with grace, humility, inclusion, and open-mindedness
  • Provide front line support for pipeline-related issues across all production departments
  • Institute ticketing system that rolls into timeline or sprint
  • Collaborate with Production to create meaningful reporting out of SG
  • Create integrations for third-party and proprietary tools and applications

Job Requirements:

  • Experience developing robust user interfaces using PySide / Qt for Python
  • Experience with SyncSketch, Cinesync, Bluescape, PiX, and Aspera
  • Experience developing tools, AMIs, and triggers using the Shotgrid API
  • Experience managing the Shotgrid Event Daemon
  • Excellent verbal, written, and e-social communication skills
  • A degree in Computer Science or a similar field is a plus
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Minimum 3 years of CG animation or visual effects pipeline experience preferred
  • Proven ability to organize and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong Python programming abilities both in and out of DCCs
  • Excellent communications skills and comfortable speaking to different groups
  • Self-motivated, proactive team member with the capacity to work and prioritize independently
  • Advanced knowledge of ShotGrid, Flix, Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Photoshop, Storyboard Pro, Rez, Git
  • Thorough understanding of current industry techniques and technologies
