Job Description:
To manage the customs, finance and export compliance status as well as facilitate administration surrounding all centralised Customs activities for PEP Stores.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage PEP Stores Customs projects
- Responsible for PEP Stores customs database and reporting (error and management reports)
- Monitor completeness/accuracy of division reconciliations
- Manage the clearing and forwarding agents iro Customs compliance
- Negotiating pricing and long term contracts with service providers
- Overall responsibility for compliance under the PEP Trading Customs code
- Determine best practice procedures / policies to be implemented by all divisions
- Manage weekly forecasting process to predict/administer top up payments where necessary
- Interaction with SARS and other regulatory bodies
- Interaction with management of all importing/exporting divisions
- Reconciliation and settlement of the central deferment account
Job Requirements:
- Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative
- Minimum 3 years people management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma with a focus on Supply Chain (Import / Export / Finance)
- Computer literacy: advanced MS Office (excel) and Google Suite
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- 3-5 years Import & Export Commercial experience
- Project Management skills and aptitude to work with figures
