Job Description:

The Ops Support Manager is responsible for performing management level trade review functions when dictated by business requirements. They monitor workflow, productivity and quality measures to ensure equal contribution from employees and coordinates planning and work efforts between these workflows as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures workflow within the department meets departmental production and quality standards
  • Participates in management discussions and decisions
  • Ensures all regulatory requirements are being met
  • Facilitates Training between Trainer and other departments as well as their own teams
  • Identifies problem areas and implements corrective action
  • Maintains and updates desk top and written supervisory procedures, and workflow charts
  • Communicates with VP of the teams meeting their obligations
  • Provides updates and presentations to senior management of teams performance
  • Assists with standards for the team
  • Ensures management team is meeting these same tasks for their teams
  • Monitors quality and quantity as it pertains to each individual employee
  • Communicates errors and trends to appropriate management team

Job Requirements:

  • Fully cross trained in all operational team functions
  • Ability to Multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Math aptitude and basic accounting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with technical support staff, clerical staff, and management of other departments
  • Knowledge of overall system software
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions to problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fundamental understanding of Sales Force
  • Understanding of company workflow and overall system processing
  • Fundamental understanding of industry regulations
  • Knowledge of Primerica Online, Microsoft Office, Internet mail and UPS software
  • Excellent understanding of operational functions
  • Familiarity with database, mainframe, Nautilus, and BNY systems
  • Ability to recognize legal and regulatory issues affecting the liability of the Company
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 – 3 years’ experience in securities and/or finance industries
  • Ability to manage people and projects
  • FINRA SIE (if required), Series 6/7 and Series 26/24 required
